Chemistry

An interest in model-building, puzzle-solving, and computer-aided design could all be valuable if you want to pursue a career in Chemistry. While chemists generally investigate and describe how matter interacts at the molecular level, this results in a diverse array of specialities. Many work in medical fields related to biochemistry and may help develop new treatments for catastrophic diseases like cancer. Inorganic chemists may work in industry or manufacturing but can also build careers in environmental protection monitoring geochemistry of soils or water quality. Attention to detail, perseverance, and a “need to know” mentality can build success in this detail-oriented field!
